In your Physics/Math class, you will be working on researching most of the existing solar energy technologies for the Ideal World project. Your team must design and build a product that explains a particular solar technology. Also, as part of your “Director's Cut” in the Bonus Materials of your film (at the end of the film OR as a menu choice on a DVD) your team will provide a step by step of how you built your product and how your product works. Your product MUST function.

Solar Cooking: There are various ways to cook food and we are going to create different types of solar cookers. The Parvati solar cooker looks like a great design that I would like a team to try (hint, hint, extra credit), as well as, a parabolic cooker. Box cookers are ok, but may not be challenging enough.

The Design/Plan
If you are choosing a solar cooker or solar water heating or a passive solar heating design include the following:
A detailed step by step plan for building your product (can be printed from the Internet, however, YOU MUST include the URL where you got the plans (cite your source).
A drawing or design of what you are going to build.
Materials List (on a separate piece of paper): Be as descriptive/specific as possible!
Each item must have dimensions so that we know what size your product will be.
Each item should be marked as to who can bring in that particular item.
List out all items that you need me (TED) to purchase for you. Each item MUST have dimensions and MUST be detailed in description.
