Scenes and their Physics

	Physics Concept	Scene
1	Pressure	“Exploding” body, Alien, etc.
2	Gravity/Momentum/impact	Guillotine
3	Optics	Ghosts, mirrors, etc.
4	Mechanical Leverage	Opening coffin, use of pulleys, moving mechanical effect
5	States of Matter	Mist, graveyard scene, Fog,
6	Patterns	Person caught in a huge web
7	Projectile Motion	“streaming” blood,/fountain?
8	Light	Use of strobe, or lighting for your effect
9	Waves	Use of Sound and/or air waves for your effect (use of 'air gun”).

Group Roles

	Role	Responsibilities
1	Physicist	Able to explain “How the effect(s) work”.
2	Mechanical Engineer	Person that “makes it work”.
3	Set Designer(s)	What the overall set will be and made – support the “ambiance”
4	Costume Designer	The costumes and how the support/add to the scene
5	Effects Designer	What the effect will be in your scene (design of the effect in the scene. (Works closely with the M.E.)
*	Documentarian	Can be it's own role (if making a documentary in film), however each group must have a plan to have a documentarion document the process of your scene.
**	Event Coordinator	One person from the numbered roles above, must be the event coordinator to work with other event coordinators on working on the overall exhibition event and integrating all of the scenes and flow of visitors.

The “Plan” must contain the following (five pages minimum together):

	Responsible	Description of portion of the plan
1	Physicist	Sketch and written document explaining how you are integrating your Physics Concept into your scene.
2	Mechanical Engineer	List of needed materials for effects ad set construction. Construction drawings.
3	Set Designer(s)	Script of your scene. Specify step by step of what your visitors will see/experience as they go through your scene.
4	Costume Designer	A plan for costumes (who will wear what, who will buy/get/make each costume) and a list of items needed.
5	Effects Designer	Sketch of your scene effect and how the flow of traffic, where your “effect” will be, how that scares people).
**	Event Coordinator	As your group members come up with ideas about the “entire event” (not just your scene), please type these up for meetings with all event coordinators, Kay and I.
